Practical, hands-on first aid training that leaves your people confident and capable, keeps you on the right side of your legal duties, and gives every learner personal skills they can use at work, at home or anywhere else. Taught by qualified and experienced staff, including a serving NHS paramedic. We are a NUCO certified and accredited provider.

Courses we teach

We supply the certificated training your people need. Small groups, so everyone actually gets to practise.

First Aid at Work (FAW) - 3 days

Full workplace first aid qualification. Valid 3 years (2-day requalification available).

What's covered:

• Legal duties, scene assessment and an unresponsive casualty

• CPR, AED, choking, bleeding and shock

• Injuries and medical emergencies (heart attack, stroke, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy)

• Bandaging and practical casualty care

Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) - 1 day

One-day workplace award. Valid 3 years.

What's covered:

• Emergency first aider duties and acting safely

• Unresponsive casualty, CPR and AED awareness

• Choking, shock, seizures, bleeding and minor injuries

• Burns and scalds

Annual Refresher - 3 hours

Half-day top-up HSE strongly recommend each year.

What's covered:

• Responsibilities and any protocol changes

• Primary survey and casualty assessment

• CPR and the chain of survival

• Bleeding, bandaging and infection control

CPR and defibrillator (AED)

About 2 and a half hours (adults) or 3 and a half hours (adults, children and infants).

What's covered:

• What to do in an emergency

• Primary survey and recovery position

• CPR

• Safe use of a defibrillator (AED)

Oxygen administration - 4 hours

For teams that keep oxygen on site.

What's covered:

• When oxygen helps - and when it must not be used

• Safe storage and handling

• Checking equipment

• Giving oxygen with mask or bag-valve-mask

Immediate anaphylaxis treatment

Certificated CPR, AED and anaphylaxis (about 3-4 hours).

What's covered:

• Emergency action, primary survey, CPR and AED

• Recognising anaphylaxis

• Emergency treatment including adrenaline auto-injectors

Anaphylaxis Awareness - 1 hour

Short theory session. Certificate of attendance.

What's covered:

• What anaphylaxis is and common triggers

• Spotting airway, breathing and circulation problems

• Calling 999 early and adrenaline devices

Awareness only - not a regulated first aid qualification.
